This year's raffle is a fiddle made by John S. Preston of Lewisburg, West Virginia.  John is a long-time member of the Folk Festival family and can be heard playing guitar and bass at many old-time music events.  John is a former tonewood dealer, having supplied wood to many of the great luthiers when he owned Old World Tonewood Company.  Since retiring from that business, he's devoting more time to making instruments and he's donated this one to help raise money to support the music events at the Folk Festival.

We are limiting the number of tickets to just 500, so one ticket gets you a 0.2 percent chance of winning!  Single tickets are just $10, and you can get six tickets for $50 and then have a 1.2 percent chance of winning!

The drawing will be held during the Saturday evening concert in the GSU Fine Arts Auditorium.  The winner need not be present, but any shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the winner.  We'll also gladly hold the fiddle for you until you can make arrangements to get it.
